About this Team: As an Engineer on the Enterprise Audience Platform team, you will develop new capabilities to support Marketing Capabilities like Target Circle 360, Digital, and Roundel. You will build microservices, User Interfaces, Kafka consumers, and database query technology in support of dynamic Audience creation for the enterprise. You will gain insights into application architecture and be able to influence implementation across Marketing Technology. Your expertise in software engineering patterns will help build robust and scalable systems. Your problem-solving skills will assist the team in triaging operational issues and will assist in building scalable software systems. Key Responsibilities: • Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Enterprise Audience services and UI components • Build API’s and User Interfaces to support product objectives • Leverage AI to build Agents, Workflows • Develop applications that support Events Based Actions for Real Time Audience updates • Collaborate across teams to solve problems, provide support, and triage Additional Responsibilities: • Design, Develop, Deploy, and Maintain production applications • Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient Enterprise Audience capabilities • Implement monitoring and logging tools to ensure optimal system performance • Continuously improve platform performance, scalability, and reliability • Create and maintain technical documentation for users • Stay updated on the latest patterns in Data architecture and Cloud Compute Technology. About you: • 4 year degree or equivalent experience • 1+ years of software development experience, ideally full stack experience using Java or Kotlin, Postgres, Kafka, Typescript and React. • Demonstrates familiarity with current and emerging technologies in own scope of responsibility, and develops ability to apply these technologies • Understands concepts of package solutions and package specific programming language with knowledge of development objects • Demonstrates and continuously builds upon domain-specific knowledge • Demonstrates proficiency in at least one computer language • Understands the concepts of distributed programming and applies it to their domain • Knowledge of the different data structures in your chosen programming language and how to apply them. • Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
